PE-22-28 + Pinealon + Selank - Calm + Clarity / Focus and Mood
Also indexed as Calm + Clarity and Focus & Mood, the C-terminal amide, the N-acetylated free acid and the N-acetylated amidate
1 Identity
Fixed-ratio three-component article: an unmodified all-L heptapeptide free acid that is a shortened analog of the spadin sequence, an all-L tripeptide free acid of the Khavinson short-peptide series, and an unmodified all-L heptapeptide free acid. No metal center, no acyl chain, no conjugate, no disulfide, no non-proteinogenic residue anywhere in the article. The three components are PE-22-28, Pinealon and Selank, and each component's full identity lives on its own record and is cross-referenced from here rather than restated. which are four separate articles and not four spellings of one. and neither can resolve the Selank component's fork between the free acid. trade titles carried against this article's catalog key and never adopted as identity statements; neither title names a molecule.
- Sequence
- Per component, cross-referenced. PE-22-28 H-Gly-Val-Ser-Trp-Gly-Leu-Arg-OH (GVSWGLR), seven residues, all L and proteinogenic. Pinealon H-L-Glu-L-Asp-L-Arg-OH (EDR). Selank H-Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro-OH (TKPRPGP), free acid at the C-terminal proline. A C-terminal amide of the Selank component is a different article and a specified impurity, not a synonym.
- Molecular formula
- Per component; a mixture has no combined formula and none is written. PE-22-28 C35H55N11O9; Pinealon C15H26N6O8; Selank C33H57N11O9. No component contains sulfur, so the isotope-envelope shortcut available on the Semax-bearing neuro blends is unavailable here and identity rests entirely on accurate mass and retention. All three are supplied as acetate salts at stoichiometries that are not fixed, so counterion mass fraction is a measured finding per component and never a carried-over assumption.
- Average mass
- Per component, on IUPAC 2021 abridged conventional atomic weights: PE-22-28 773.893 Da; Pinealon 418.407 Da; Selank 751.887 Da. AT A nominal 10 plus 10 plus 10 mg fill, 30 mg total, the 1 : 1 : 1 mass ratio is a molar ratio of 1.000 : 1.850 : 1.029 - 12.92168, 23.90017 and 13.29987 micromol. The tripeptide is present at 1.85 times the molar quantity of PE-22-28 at equal mass, and a document treating the mass ratio as a molar ratio is wrong on its face.
- Monoisotopic mass
- Per component. PE-22-28 773.41842 neutral, [M+H]+ 774.42570. Pinealon 418.18121, [M+H]+ 419.18849, [M-H]- 417.17393. Selank 751.43407, [M+H]+ 752.44135. The two heptapeptides are 21.98 Da apart, which is resolvable but is closer than any other pair in the neuro blend set and demands the accurate-mass figure rather than a rounded integer. The Selank acid-amide fork at 0.9840 Da and PE-22-28 tryptophan oxidation at +15.9949 Da are the internal separations that matter.
- Salt / variant note
- (1) the Selank fork: free acid 751.887, amide 750.90, N-Acetyl Selank free acid 793.924, N-Acetyl Selank Amidate 792.940 - and the last of these is what the observed consumer channel predominantly ships, so material presented under this blend title may carry a 792.94 component where 751.89 was specified. (2) PE-22-28: no acetylated or amidated commercial variant has been located, so the substitution risk on that component is a truncation or a scrambled-sequence impurity rather than a named alternative. (3) PINEALON: the nearest title neighbors in the Khavinson series are Cartalax (AED) and Vilon (KE), each a separate article with its own record. (4) ratio: no standard has been located.
2 Class & testing panel
- Form
- Fixed-ratio blend
- Testing panel
- P1 — panel definitionfor all three components, run per component and never once for the vial; the union adds nothing beyond P1. The two analytical constraints are dynamic range - a 418 Da tripeptide against two 750 to 774 Da heptapeptides - and chromophore asymmetry: PE-22-28 carries the article's only tryptophan and therefore its only strong ultraviolet absorber, while Selank and Pinealon have no aromatic residue at all. Two consequences are written as specification rather than as caution. A 280 nm method is a single-component method on this article, so the certificate states at what wavelength each figure was obtained. And all three components carry exactly one arginine, which makes the arginine peak in amino acid analysis a mathematical headcount of chains that cannot contribute to any ratio determination
3 Primary sources & evidence
Published literature exists for each component, is graded on that component's record and is cross-referenced rather than restated: the PE-22-28 file traces to an originating French academic program, the Selank file carries a substantial Russian-language corpus, and the Pinealon file sits within the Khavinson short-peptide literature with its methodological limitations stated on that record. None of it is literature about this three-component mixture. No published study of the three components co-formulated at a fixed ratio has been located - an absence of located evidence rather than a demonstration that none exists.
4 Storage & specification
- Storage
- White to off-white co-lyophilized cake in Type I amber glass with a PTFE-lined closure, nitrogen headspace, in-pack desiccant; a non-sterile laboratory chemical, no sterility claim, no unit-dose format. Stored at -20 degrees C plus or minus 5 degrees C, desiccated and protected from light, the light control being governed by the Trp4 indole on PE-22-28, which is the article's principal photolabile site and the reason the amber vial is specified rather than assumed. Vials are equilibrated to ambient in the sealed container before opening; all three components are hygroscopic acetate salts.
- Shelf life
- Provisional 24 months at -20 degrees C plus or minus 5 degrees C, desiccated and light-protected - the shortest of the three component intervals, pending the company's own data. The stability-indicating attributes are per-component net content, both pairwise ratios, tryptophan oxidation products reported individually rather than as a sum, Selank acid-amide interconversion, free arginine and free glutamate as tripeptide degradation markers, water, counterion and any new peak above 0.10 percent.
This record reports identity, specification and study design. It does not state what the article does in a human body. Supplied under the caution: “CAUTION: Contains a new drug for investigational use only in laboratory research animals or for tests in vitro. Not for use in humans.”
