Each hormone is a non-covalent alpha-beta heterodimer sharing a common 92-residue alpha subunit. Brands: Menopur, Repronex, Pergonal, Humegon, Menogon.

At least one seller has scraped that record verbatim onto its product page. Any certificate or catalog entry reproducing C9H18O or 142.24 for this article is a copied database error, not data: it prints the molecular formula of a perfume ingredient against a human-urine-derived gonadotropin preparation.

HCG, already recorded in this catalog and routinely blended into or mislabeled as HMG, and the actual source of Menopur's LH activity. HMG against highly-purified hMG, which differ in FSH:LH ratio. Lutropin alfa. And two acronym collisions that have already caused real errors in this market: HMG-CoA, 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A, and the HMG family of high-mobility-group proteins — the latter being the likely route by which the fragrance-aldehyde record above entered the chain.
