Linear heptapeptide, C-terminally amidated, containing a D-alanine at position 2. A mu-opioid receptor agonist of amphibian origin, isolated from the skin of Phyllomedusa frogs. Sold under listing names such as 'Dermorphin peptide 10MG vial' and 'Dermorphin 5mg'.

Dermorphin (1-4) and other truncations, which circulate under the parent name. Deltorphin I and II, the delta-selective heptapeptides from the same amphibian source, similar mass, routinely cross-filed. The all-L diastereomer, H-Tyr-Ala-Phe-Gly-Tyr-Pro-Ser-NH2 - identical molecular formula, identical monoisotopic mass, and indistinguishable by any achiral method. DAMGO and other synthetic mu-agonist peptides used as laboratory tools.
