1 Identity
Short-chain bioregulators (Khavinson peptides). and it has its own record. H-Glu-Asp-Gly-OH and chonluten tripeptide; "Bronchogen" is carried as a search term only and is not an alias.

- H-Glu-Asp-Gly-OH (one-letter EDG; L-glutamyl-L-aspartyl-glycine). Free N-terminal alpha-amino group, free C-terminal carboxylic acid. No acylation, no amidation, no disulfide, no non-proteinogenic residue, no metal. Glycine is achiral, so the molecule carries two stereocenters (the Glu and Asp alpha-carbons), both L. Four ionizable groups: the N-terminal amine and the Glu, Asp and C-terminal carboxylates — three acids against one base, so the molecule is strongly acidic. No aromatic residue anywhere in the molecule.

- The naming error is the first variant and it travels further than the molecule does. Bronchogen is widely listed as an alias of Chonluten. It is not the same molecule. (1) BRONCHOGEN is a TETRApeptide, Ala-Glu-Asp-Leu (AEDL), C18H30N4O9, 446.457 average / 446.20128 monoisotopic — 127.19 Da heavier than Chonluten. US Patent 7,625,870, assignee Access Bioscience CJSC, Saint Petersburg, filed 7 December 2004 and issued 1 December 2009, claims "a biologically active new tetrapeptide alanyl-glutamyl-aspartyl-leucine". One seller offers "Bronchogen 20mg" stating exactly Ala-Glu-Asp-Leu, C18H30N4O9, 446.45 g/mol. Any lot labeled chonluten showing 446 is bronchogen and VICE VERSA. (2) sequence-isomer ambiguity within bronchogen itself: the Khavinson primary literature writes it as ADEL while the patent claims AEDL; identical formula, identical mass, identical amino-acid analysis. (3) permutations of chonluten itself — EGD, DEG, GED, DGE and GDE are all C11H17N3O8 at exactly 319.10156 and are excluded only by MS/MS b/y assignment or Edman. (4) the Ala-for-Gly analog, EDA, C12H19N3O8, 333.297 average / 333.11721 monoisotopic, plus 14.03 Da — which is also the exact formula and exact mass of Cartalax (AED), another article carried in this same catalog block and filled in the same facility, so a single methylene separates two products the company sells and a permutation separates them again. (5) Epitalon AEDG 390.349 / 390.13868 and Vesugen KED 390.393 / 390.17506, which collide with each other at nominal 390. Salt: one basic center, light counterion load, but one mole of trifluoroacetate is 26.3 percent of the mass of a 319 Da article.

3 Primary sources & evidence
In vitro and rodent literature only, and almost all of it originates from a single institutional group — the Saint Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology and its collaborators — published largely in Russian-language journals and their English translations. On the order of 20 to 40 indexed publications name this tripeptide. Group-level citations: PMID 12374906; PMID 31808038 (DOI 10.1007/s12015-019-09938-8); PMID 11276315; PMID 23734519; PMID 24003726; PMID 32593244 — of which the Advances in Gerontology pair are reviews by the originating group and not primary randomized trials. No ClinicalTrials.gov registration and no controlled human trial were identified for this tripeptide. Independent replication by unaffiliated laboratories is sparse, and that sparseness is the single most important fact in the record. The class evidence is graded D. The citation list is presented with the affiliation concentration stated plainly on the evidence page rather than buried in a footnote.

- Lyophilized white to off-white powder, sealed under nitrogen in an amber or foil-overwrapped 5 mL or 20 mL borosilicate serum vial with a fluoropolymer-faced stopper. Labeled condition -20 degrees C plus or minus 5 degrees C, desiccated, protected from light. The solid is hygroscopic: the label and the technical note both instruct that sealed vials be equilibrated to room temperature before opening, because condensation on cold solid is the commonest cause of a customer-side water result that disagrees with the certificate. Shipping at ambient for up to 96 hours with a single-use temperature logger is acceptable; the logger record is filed with the lot.
- Shelf life
- 24 months at -20 degrees C plus or minus 5 degrees C, provisional. This is a protocol-based assignment pending company stability data, not a measured value. Protocol: timepoints at 0, 3, 6, 9, 12, 18 and 24 months at the labeled condition with a parallel 6-month accelerated arm at 25 degrees C and 60 percent RH, run on each of the first three commercial lots and tested by the release purity, content and water methods. The 3-month point either confirms the interval or shortens the label. The label is shortened on data and is never extended without a completed 24-month dataset.
