BPC-157 + TB-500 + MGF
1 Identity
Fixed-ratio three-component article: three synthetic linear peptides, co-lyophilized. A formulation, not a substance. "BPC/TB/MGF" and assorted three-letter constructions that circulate in the research channel. MGF here is the 24-residue synthetic peptide YQPPSTNKNTKSQRRKGSTFEERK; the 25-residue cysteine-extended form and PEG-MGF are different articles with their own records.
- Sequence
- Per component, cross-referenced. BPC-157: GEPPPGKPADDAGLV, free acid. Full-length thymosin beta-4: Ac-SDKPDMAEIEKFDKSKLKKTETQEKNPLPSKETIEQEKQAGES-OH. MGF: H-Tyr-Gln-Pro-Pro-Ser-Thr-Asn-Lys-Asn-Thr-Lys-Ser-Gln-Arg-Arg-Lys-Gly-Ser-Thr-Phe-Glu-Glu-Arg-Lys-OH, one-letter YQPPSTNKNTKSQRRKGSTFEERK, 24 residues, free acid, strongly basic with three arginine and three lysine residues and no cysteine. The MGF component is the E-domain peptide of an IGF-1 splice variant, and that is the identity statement its name abbreviates.
- Molecular formula
- Per component. BPC-157 C62H98N16O22. Thymosin beta-4 C212H350N56O78S. MGF C121H199N41O40 as the free acid, salt-free; the 25-residue cysteine-extended form is C124H204N42O41S and is a different article. No combined formula is written and none exists for a mixture.
- Average mass
- Per component: BPC-157 1,419.556 Da; thymosin beta-4 4,963.506 Da; MGF 2,868.170 Da, which reconciles to 0.01 Da against a reagent catalog entry at 2868.16. At a nominal 10 plus 10 plus 10 mg fill the molar quantities are 7.044, 2.015 and 3.487 micromol.
- Monoisotopic mass
- Per component: BPC-157 1,418.7042; thymosin beta-4 4,960.48632, from a deconvoluted charge envelope; MGF 2,866.47980 neutral, working ions [M+3H]3+ 956.50054 and [M+4H]4+ 717.62723. Comparators on the MGF component: the 25-mer cysteine form at 2,969.48898, des-Arg at 2,710.37869 and des-Lys at 2,738.38484.
- Salt / variant note
- (1) the MGF fork: the 24-mer at 2,868.170 Da against the 25-residue cysteine-extended form at 2,971.31 Da, plus 103.14, and against PEG-MGF, which is a separate article again. The 24-mer contains no cysteine, and that is the compositional fact separating it from the 25-mer traded under the same name. (2) the thymosin fork: 43-mer at 4,963.506 Da against the Tb4(17-23) heptapeptide at 889.018 Da. (3) MGF deletion sequences across the basic stretch: des-Arg C115H187N37O39 and des-Lys C115H187N39O39. (4) Counter-ion: MGF is normally isolated as the trifluoroacetate, given three arginine, three lysine and a free N-terminus, so counter-ion is a first-order quantity on that component.
2 Class & testing panel
- Form
- Fixed-ratio blend
- Testing panel
- P1 — panel definitiongoverns all three components, run per component and never once on the vial. The marker residue for BPC-157 in this composition is valine; aspartate is not a marker here, because full-length thymosin beta-4 carries aspartate at positions 2, 5 and 13, so the marker is derived from these three sequences rather than carried over from a general rule
3 Primary sources & evidence
Literature exists for each component, is graded and cited on that component's own record, and is cross-referenced from here rather than restated; none of it is literature about this mixture. No published study of this fixed three-component combination has been identified, which is a statement about the search.
4 Storage & specification
- Storage
- Co-lyophilized solid at -20 degrees C plus or minus 5 degrees C, desiccated, protected from light, nitrogen headspace. Of the three components only thymosin beta-4 carries an oxidation-labile residue, Met6; neither BPC-157 nor the MGF 24-mer contains tryptophan, methionine or cysteine, so the nitrogen blanket in this composition is driven by one component and not by three.
- Shelf life
- Dated from QA release, with a printed retest date on every unit and first-expiry-first-out enforced against that date. The interval is set on this company's own real-time and accelerated stability data rather than inherited from a supplier's certificate. The retest-limiting attribute is oxidative and sits on a single component, methionine sulfoxide at Met6 of thymosin beta-4, with per-component content, the measured ratio, water content and counter-ion trended alongside it.
This record reports identity, specification and study design. It does not state what the article does in a human body. Supplied under the caution: “CAUTION: Contains a new drug for investigational use only in laboratory research animals or for tests in vitro. Not for use in humans.”
